COHERENT AUDIO
The Coherent Audio room was brimming with fine gear, starting with its own speakers, of course, and encompassing a number of Allnic Audio products, Baetis Audio, Kuzma, and Saturn Audio.
The main system was composed of the Kuzma Stabi R Turntable, Baetis Reference X4 Streamer, the Allnic L-6500 Preamplifier, Allnic H-5500 Phono Preamplifier, Allnic M-2500 Monoblock Power Amplifiers, the Coherent Audio EIGHTEEN Reference Loudspeaker, and the Saturn Audio 100 Series Power Filter.
This was another room whose system provided great foundational bass that gave structure to the entire frequency range without either bloating, coloring, or smearing the range above it. Just the opposite was true, in fact, as transparency and resolution were on ‘high-alert’ ferreting out detail, micro-detail and dynamics and micro-dynamics as well, in a show room! And despite the fact that the speakers were almost, literally, against the front wall the soundstage was both wide and deep, go figure. There were a few Best of Show rooms in Montréal and this was, decidedly, one of them.
