NEXUS AUDIO TECHNOLOGIES
I’d like to first compliment Walter Schofield of Nexus Audio Technologies and Mike Levy of Alta Audio for the curation of this minimalist, well appointed, and, decidedly, high-fidelity room.
The Nexus Audio Technologies room was sporting some fine looking and sounding gear in the Primare line and the Alta Audio speakers, which have always impressed me with their musical wherewithal.
The system on hand was composed of the Primare Pre35 Prisma preamplifier ($5,500), Primare 35.8 amplifier ($5,500), Primare DD35 CD transport ($3,500), and the Alta Audio Adam loudspeaker.
The first six words on my notepad with regard to the Primare/Alta Audio system: “Beautiful. Musical. Natural. Engaging. Open. Mesmerizing.” There was an immediate sense of “I’m home” as I listened to the music from this, relatively, minimalist system. And, as mentioned above, the Adam loudspeakers were beautifully conveying the complete gestalt of the music as heard via Joan Shelly’s “We’d Be Home Now” and Voce8 “Agnus Dei.” Beautiful.
