NAGRA AND STENHEIM

The Nagra and STENHEIM room was another minimalist system configuration that proved itself more than worthy. While I had not come across the Nagra components in system prior to this show, I have now mounting experience with the STENHEIM speakers. My first exposure to the STENHEIM speakers, I believe, was at the Montréal Audio Fest where they were paired to the darTZeel LHC-208 DAC, streamer, and integrated amplifier and it was lovely in the extreme.

The current room’s system was composed of the Nagra CLASSIC INT amplifier, CLASSIC PHONO, CLASSIC PSU, and the CLASSIC TUBE DAC as linked to the STENHEIM Alumine 3SE special edition speakers.

My notes reflect the sound as, “Pristine crystal clarity, with a beautiful center-fill of voice, tight bass lines, and incredibly natural, which seems to induce an in-room palpability, nearness of performers. Articulation is also quite excellent.
